My thoughts are of you daily and prayerfully. Last evening at a chorus rehearsal our director introduced us to a wonderful new piece by Gwyneth Walker “I Thank You God” and I immediately thought of you. The words are by e.e.cumming. The piece is published by ECSPublishing. At the risk of violating any copyright laws here are the words enclosed in ” “s.

“I thank You God for most this amazing day: for the leaping greenly spirits of trees and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything which is natural which is infinite which is yes, I thank You God for most this amazing day. I who have died am alive again today. And this is the sun’s birthday; this is the birthday of life and love and wings” and of the gay great happening illimitably earth. I who have died am alive again today. I thank you God. How should any human being doubt You? how should tasting touching hearing seeing breathing any human merely being doubt You? doubt unimaginable You? lifted from the no of all nothing doubt You? Now the ears of my ears awake, now the eyes of my eyes are opened. I thank You God.” If there is more to the poem, the words are not used.

Without the poetry in verse form in front of me, I may be missing some of the words or flow of the words. The music is most wonderful as well.

“This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Connie you are a sunbeam to many who suffer ills such as yours. Your Lord and God who gives faith and salvation is sustaining you. We thank God for this.

May you have many more wonderful “daily diary” entries written as only you can do with you way with words, wit, and wisdom.

In Christian Love with gentle hugs,

Katherine (and David)

How wonderful that Janna will be able to spend a couple of days with you! She can physically help “hold up your arms” as you struggle. We, from a distance, continually keep you in our prayers, to “hold you up” in that fashion.
God’s strength and love surround you today.
Irene

Nurses are very helpful but I also remember calling them in the middle of the night with concerns for my little ones during a cold, flu, etc and they would always list these horrible symptoms, like, “are they this or that?”, and I was always thought, “do you really think I would be calling you if it was that bad?” Surly the assumption would be that you would be in the emergency room at that point – honestly!

My thoughts, prayers, and arm holding ablities are – as always – yours

Heidi
