My heart breaks for your condition, Connie. You and your family has been an inspiration to mine, Jessica comments often of how she remembers and misses your smile from our days in Seward.

Whether your race is to be won in days, months, or years from now, know that we love you very much, and think of you often.

PS I very much enjoy your writing – fanciful, yet grounded, florid, yet understandable, simple, yet elegant. At the risk of sounding cliche, “May the peace of God that passes all human understanding be with you now and forever.”

Your commentary continues to be encouraging; we pray that the last couple days were as good as the last time you wrote and are comforted to know that you have made the decision about treatment that you and family feel is right.

What is this about Spring? — multi inches of snow in Nebraska and multi inches of rain in North Texas, 11 and 12 inches in some places here in the Metroplex. The full blooming iris has drooped with the weight of the duluge, and the redbuds in bright color are saying, “We’re soaked! Enough.” I guess we remember that the groundhog did not see his shadow a few weeks ago. Our parched ground is welcoming the long overdue moisture.

Thanks for keeping us updated by this wonder of cyber space.

Gail sends her love along with mine.

Fred

Just wanted to say ‘hello’ to you today, the first day of spring! Hmmmmm – snow? Where does that fit in the scheme of things?

The sun is out here but it’s still pretty chilly – nothing nearly as exotic as London or the Nile, but beautiful just the same!

Love, Irene

Enjoy the peace that comes along with the snow–it is such a beautiful thing God created. It covers up the messy stuff, so we can just enjoy life!

We just learned about your Website last Wednesday. So we had a lot of catching up to do. We appreciate your notations very much. We continue our care about you, our prayers for you, and we think about you daily. We shared with our son, David, about your condition. He sends his love and care, and, certainly, he remembers you in his prayers as well.
Looking at today’s comments, the difficult choices, and the prospects, standing on the outside looking in, you probably made the most reasonable and good choice. And, however you choose, you will never lose because you are the Lord’s. The Lord be with you and your family. Cordially, Paul and Edna
