Dad’s comment about the architect being a relative was much like the greatest insult one band could lay against another – You sound like a local band or even worse – they are nice guys

Your trip to Burden sounds relaxing and interesting. I, too, have had some fine “genealogy” jaunts into Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma this year. It is wonderful to connect with the past — appreciating the lessons of fortitude and simplicity from days gone by, while also appreciating the conveniences of today! I drove through Seward while you were in Colorado, and I noted at the courthouse square that it is Nebraska’s “4th of July City”. Patriotic person that I am, I will have to check this out in an upcoming year!
