I very much look forward to your winter nature- descriptive writing.

For us, this special time of year (with December birthdays for both Susan and me and our anniversary) is a time to move inward, relishing the short daylight and low sunlight of a winter afternoon.

It is also a time to focus our (non-denominational) spiritual energies. I can assure you that tons and tons of strong positive thoughts will continue to be sent your way in the months ahead.

We thought of your spouse the other afternoon at a Christmas program which we attended with friends at their local Presbyterian chuch — they have a new organ and it seemed to fit the room perfectly. (The entire program was under the direction of Alvin Brightbill, who you people may have briefly met after the Concordia concert.) Finally Booker, the terrier, sends his warmest doggiest seasonal best to that handsome brown pooch in the photo.
