I am a little late in sending greetings, because I took my mom to Alva, Oklahoma, to spend the Easter weekend with her family there. But, as I was reminded by a friend, every day is Easter for Christians!

As I read your latest entry, the song “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands” played in my mind. So many things we try to explain, but can’t . . . try to understand, but can’t. How marvelous He is — He’s got it all under control! You are in GOOD AND LOVING HANDS, indeed!!

Love,
Mindy

P.S. How cool that your case will be used to help further understanding of this disease and its successful treatment, thus helping others down the road!

Connie–
Christ is risen! Hallelujah! The courage and joy of the Resurrected One is yours. Abundant sustenance! One of a kind!

There’s a lot in your post-Omaha piece, much still to sort out, for you, and for all of us.
——-
A little diversion. We are longtime Prairie Home Companion (Garison Keilor) public radio listeners. On March 31, much of the program was devoted to their annual poetry contest — the top 15 were read on air, and then a child in the audience drew the one winner from a box (the one about Spring Onions).

Go to Prairiehome.org and you can read the poems, as well as see a photo of the poets w/ short bios. Many of these are very nature focussed.
——
We’ll listen to some Bach choral music over this weekend, and, thanks to your musical last sentence, also listen again to a Samuel Barber Easter choral piece I found on naxos.com.

Take care, Happy Easter, and don’t forget that it’s only about 11 weeks to June 21, the Summer Solstice.

Your appreciation of Easter is more acute, I’m sure, because of the events of the last 15 months. However, your sharing your walk with so many of us, is a bold reminder that Easter is indeed a wonderful gift, assuring us of an even greater life in heaven with our Lord and Savior!

HE LIVES, INDEED! Alleluia!

JOY in HIM!
Irene
