I was trying to spare its chick, which had fallen out of its nest, from Beaumont (my then 18 pound gully cat – may he rest in peace), who was licking his chops!

It probably has to do with the cool temperatures allowing the tulips and blossoming trees to hold on to their flowers a little longer.
