I think you may have started something, I have been pondering names for my trees! Last weekend we traveled to the country to help Brad and Dad harvest potatoes. It was a bountiful year and we gathered more than we could ever eat. It felt good to get ones hands in the dirt. Glad you are feeling well. We are always thinking of you.

You are so silly. Not because you talk to trees. Oh, no, not at all! But that you think this might bring an intervention, if you are caught. Why would you think that now is the time for action? If it hasn’t happened yet, you know what? You’re probably OK.

Love,
Carolyn, who wishes that she had some trees upon which to bestow names.

The Sycamore trees in front are called Woodchuck and Chuckwood. I would be most interested in any message your trees are able to express to you. Mine seem to imply, stay the course – one of my favorite Ore-isms. I would say the same to you! Stay the course, be of good cheer and think of donuts for your birthday!

Love H

PS Welcome traveler James! Peace!

Somewhere along the line, there was a line of thinking that talking to plants was good for them! So…trees are just “big plants” so your speaking to them may be good for them. However, if you hear them speaking to you…you might just want to keep that between you and Alphie!

After the rains this weekend, we are enjoying glorious September days…70’s – “abundant sunshine” (as the weather gurus call it) and brilliant blue skies! The grass came back to life nicely with all the rain. Apples are being picked and to see the beautiful red and yellow and pink “balls” on the trees is indeed beautiful! Nothing tastes as good as an apple fresh from the tree! Ah – fall in Michigan, and especially in Conklin along ‘fruit ridge!’

Love to you and Charles,
Irene
