Yesterday (19th) was Susan’s 64th b-day and our 26th wedding anniversary. We are ending a three night stay at one of our favorite spots–the Beachcomber Motel on a low bluff near the San Clemente Pier. The motel is about as old as Susan, but the setting is spectaular and reminds us of the beach neighborhood home we once had outside of Florence, OR. An interesting counter here, however, are the Amtrack and commuter trains at the base/sea level of the bluff- we hear them and can see the cartops as people go between LA and San Diego. Best of all, this place is only about 25 I-5 minutes from our place in Laguna Woods.

Popcorn, freshly baked cookies, and a fire sound like a good way to stay cozy during your winter onslaught. It’s a positive thing, Connie, if those pills can give you some respite from the junk that is eating on you. It is interesting that you mention Jan 6 twice in your post. “Felice Dia de los Reyes!” as they would say in Argentina where the 6th has much more Christmas focus than the 25th. Susan and I usually do something special on that day, and we’ll certainly think of you as you again deal with the medical stuff.

We have coolish (50’s) winter sun today, but more showers are heading toward us for Christmas week. Accuweather keeps us posted on our freezing friends in Seattle and Portland, as well as the special Seward, NE threesome that is much in our thoughts.

Our Warmest Holiday Best,

dick and susan gale

Holiday sounds, sights and thoughts keep the days cheerful and positive, gloomy as they have been outside in our usually sunny Arizona. Family is the earthly focus this time of year, and we are thankful that you are part of ours.
Blessings, Caroline

First of all, send our best Birthday wishes to Charles on his day. Birthdays around this time of year somehow get lost in the musical preparations for the many services and things. However, we celebrate from afar the day in which God gave us a wonderful friend, composer, and a special gift to you and your family!

We pray that the holidays will be filled with joy and you with energy to enjoy them too. The best part is that Jesus’ love continues to surround us. What a privilege to be able to share the message of His love with so many each day!

Peace, joy, and love in our Savior, Jesus!
Irene
