We are finishing a week at one of your Pacific Ocean /evergreen forest “heavens” — Yachats, Oregon on the Central Oregon Coast. We have had some typical
OR Coast summer days — bright sunshine and 35+ MPH
noon on north winds.

Thanx so much for the photos on your blog — especially this post — both bring back fond memories
of my graduate school at Michigan State, several midwest trips with Susan (including a Michigan-
Wisconsin ferry crossing), and even some very quick
Door County snooping.

Take good care, and know that you remain in a
central place in our thoughts and prayers.

warmest best wishes,

dick and susan gale

It is so happy-making for me to read of your odyssey with Charles to all the homes of dear family and friends. I was thinking you should found a new denomination: the Church of Holy Handwashing. I hope by now you have returned to Alphie and that he is in some way overcoming the turpitude into which he fell…and that the birds at Sanctuary will sing Returning Songs to you, to let you know how very ‘with it’ you have always been.
Joy and plaidness to you,
Carolyn

Enjoy the trip to Seward and the joyful homecoming that Alphie will most certainly provide!
