Arizona is blessed with Midwestern type scenery on our mountains
as we in the valley continue to have warm days. Howard so enjoys the pictures and your descriptions of your lands, as it brings back the days of his youth.
Blessings to you and days of peace. Caroline

This week I chanced upon two wooly brown and black caterpillars and was comforted to see that a familiar sign of the season in Nebraska also inhabits Oregon. I have never been able to tell if their coats are longer, so I am unable to predict if we will have a colder than normal winter. Today was sunny and walking outdoors required only a light windbreaker. The trees and shrubs are also changing color here, and even the air seems to intimate changes that the sun’s retreat to the south will bring. God bless opiates and autumn as we stroll toward winter.
Mira
