Certainly makes the switch to summer clothes a necessity! Rachel is home and we are enjoying her company and that of a friend too :). We look forward to bonding time with Emily next week!
But for now…we journey to the cross with Christ and then celebrate the open and EMPTY tomb on Sunday! That wonderful message is what we are privileged to share and what keeps our faith alive!
Have a blessed and Happy Easter! Alleluia! He is Risen!
Love, Irene

Yes, the weather is a little crazy lately, but I don’t mind! This is a vacation week for me — time to do some work around the house. Yardwork has taken precedence, as it was 82 here today, and 84 is predicted for tomorrow. It is glorious, and though it is odd, I am happy!

I had an eye appointment, and as suspected, I need to have cataract surgery on my other eye. It is scheduled for April 14, and sister Pat will go with me. I am really looking forward to opening my eyes after surgery and being able to see without any glasses or contact lenses! I started wearing glasses in the 2nd grade, so it will be like a whole new life for me!

I have a bit of a sore throat and am not sure whether it is allergies or something worse. So, the plan is to go to Ft. Scott for Easter. Rick and Cathy miss having the family down there, since Mom is now in Overland Park.

I wish all of you a very Blessed and Happy Easter! He is risen — He is risen indeed!! Alleluia!

Love,
Mindy

And we ARE a prime tourist destination. I wish you could have been with us for our trip to Susan’s. The wildflowers are everywhere this spring; I-10 roadways, Picacho Peak park, everywhere you look are masses of reds, golds, yellow blooms. We enjoy! for with May and summer the scenario will indeed be different. We will think of you and your Sanctuary with envy then.
