Although I never got to know you very well personally, I have heard so much about you that I feel that I know you quite well. Your blogs have continually delighted and inspired me. You are an extraordinary woman of God and I am so thankful for the blessing you have been to so many. God’s peace, joy and comfort be with you and your family.

They help us grow. The beautiful yellow sunflower (one of the brightest we have ever seen)reflects for us the brightness that shines forth through you and Charles no matter where you are or what the circumstances may be. The windows just above the sunflower in the picture bring to mind an event in earlier days in the room which is lightened by those windows, before the glistening yellow paint covered those barren walls. Thanks for the cherished memories! Gail and Fred

She is in hospice care herself and not able to read or write but very able to talk and remember and pray. I’ve shared your beautiful writing with her. Today, she asked that I tell you that you and Charles, Heidi, Janna and John-Paul are in her prayers – as you all are in mine.

Jesus Bless You.

Come Easter morning, this hymn struck me with its beautiful text of comfort:

Jesus lives! The vict’ry’s won!
Death no longer can apall me;
Jesus lives! Death’s reign is done!
From the grave will Christ recall me.
Brighter scenes will then commence;
This shall be my confidence.

Jesus lives! To Him the throne
There above all things is given.
I shall go where He is gone,
Live and reign with Him in heaven.
God is faithful; doubtings, hence!
This shall be my confidence.

Jesus lives! For me He died,
Hence will I, to Jesus living,
Pure in heart and act abide,
Praise to Him and glory giving.
All I need God will dispense;
This shall be my confidence.

Jesus lives! And I am sure
Neither life nor death shall sever
Me from Him. I shall endure
In His love, through death, forever.
God will be my sure defense;
This shall be my confidence.

Jesus lives! And now is death
But the gate of life immortal;
This shall calm my trembling breath
When I pass its gloomy portal.
Faith shall cry, as fails each sense:
Jesus is my confidence!

hugs and love,
Carol
p.s. Kudos to the photographer of the magnificent sunflower photo…gorgeous flower, gorgeous photo.
