As we have followed Connie on her most courageous journey these months and years, these words from St. Augustine continued to emerge…

All shall be Amen and Alleluia.
We shall rest and we shall see.
We shall see and we shall know.
We shall know and we shall love.
We shall love and we shall praise.
Behold our end which is no end. Amen

So we commend Connie to her Lord and Savior.

A light has gone out here on earth, but heaven is shining that much brighter. And the singing is that much louder! Connie’s example of enduring faith and of a life well-lived has touched us forever. Oh, that our lives will now shine more brightly because of her!

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Ore family. She loved you so much, and her love remains with you always!

Giving thanks to God with you for Connie’s earthly life, which touched many people through the years, and rejoicing with you that her heavenly homecoming has been accomplished.

May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Dr. Ore,
I’m so very sorry for your loss. Although we know where Connie is, our hearts still ache with that loss. I pray that you and your family would feel the arms of Jesus around you as you mourn. And while Connie sings with the angels and dances with Jesus, we will anticipate the fabulous reunion to come. Blessings, faithful servant of the Lord.

My heart aches for your loss. Through her blog, I’ve come to understand what a remarkable woman Connie is…for her words live on in this life, as she does in her new life. I’ve enjoyed every kind and fun and witty and articulate and imaginative and startling and unique entry she has made in her blog, and I will miss the updates…and so I mourn for myself, as well. I pray for comfort and peace for you, knowing that our Lord is holding you all closely to Himself in His strong and loving arms as you mourn this separation until eternity.

Dr. Ore and family,
It is with bittersweet feelings in my heart that I share these thoughts. Joy because your dear wife and and mother is no longer suffering in this vale of tears. Sadness, because you will not be able to hug her, tell her that you love her, or spend time with her. But remember the time you have been blessed with to spend with her and rejoice that she is in heaven and will see her soon!

Charles and family,
When I first met Connie she was sitting not far from me in the Music Theory Class taught by Dr. Beck. As a freshman I was rather happy to have such a remarkable person in my class. She knew so much and was so willing to stand up for her thoughts and ideas. A spirited lady, to be sure. And she kept that wonderful spirit all her life. What an example to us all. Her writing was so expressive and succinct and I read it with such awe. Just like I feel when I hear your organ playing, Charles. God has Connie right beside him and she will welcome us when God changes our earthly address. You are all blessings to so many people, including me. Praise the Lord with songs of joy for the blessings in Connie’s life and the blessing she was to all of us. In Christ’s love, Sharon Struve

Dear Charles,Janna,Heidi and John Paul,

I learned just in time this evening to join you in celebration of the life of one of the most courageous, gentle and loving women I have ever met.

I pray the journey from the beautiful photo of Connie to the peaceful scene in her bed next to the window will help to bring you comfort in knowing you afforded her love, dignity and comfort to the very end.

Connie left a legacy of courage and elegance to inspire others that I hope will remain online for many more years to come.
